HOW TO USE A COMMERCIAL POPCORN MACHINE

For informational purposes only, please reference your popcorn machine owner's manual prior to operating. Only trained and experienced personnel should operate this type of equipment.

Typical popcorn machine models below, optional features may be shown. These models consist of the kettle, illuminated interior, heated floor and old maid clean out drawer.

Operating Instructions:

Let's get started..... Plug the popcorn machine into a properly grounded power supply. Do not use an un-grounded adapter or extension cord. It is important that the machine remains grounded during operation.

Next Step..... Turn on all switches. For models that have separate kettle motor stirrer (agitator) switch, turn on lights/warmer and kettle heat only at this time. Pre-heat kettle for about 5-7 minutes.

Next Step..... Lift the kettle lid and add the properly measured amount of corn, oil and salt to the kettle - all can be added at same time. If your popcorn machine has kettle motor stirrer switch, turn on on now and close the kettle lid. We typically recommend popping with coconut oil, which stays fresh longer and does not leave black deposits. KETTLE WILL BE HOT! Please be sure to avoid direct contact with the kettle during the popping process!

Next Step..... Keep doors slightly ajar to prevent fogging and lower hopper drop door to out position to aid in catching stray popcorn. Allow corn to pop until popping ceases, usually when 3-4 seconds lapse between pops. Then dump remaining popped corn from kettle by onto the floor of the machine. Repeat steps for additional batches.

Next Step..... Carefully "rake" the popped corn with your scoop over the perforations in the floor so any un-popped kernels will drop into the old maid drawer below.

Next Step..... Scoop out and serve!
