HOW TO MAKE SNOW CONE SYRUP (AND SHAVED ICE SYRUP)
How to make a quart of concentrate:
Add one one ounce of concentrate plus 1.25 pounds of sugar.
How to make a gallon of concentrate:
Put five to five and one half pounds of sugar in a clean empty jug (or use a Syrvelle), add 4 ounces of concentrate, add hot water and shake well.
Snow cone syrups can also be used to make Slush concentrates as well - put 4 ounces of concentrate into a clean slush bottle, fill to within 1" of top with water and shake. That's all there is to it!
Shelf life of concentrate flavors once mixed (flavors with sugar added) is about 2 weeks with refrigeration and without preservatives added. Want to make your mixed flavors last longer than 1-2 weeks? Then you can add preservatives. Just add 1/4 ounce of sodium benzoate with 1/2 ounce of citric acid to a gallon of mixed syrup and enjoy longer self-life.
Ready to use sugar free syrups are available as well as the SUGAR FREE SYRUP MAKER - just substitute the sugar that you add to any of the concentrates with this product for sugar free syrup.
